China is an authoritarian state. India is a vibrant democracy. There is a huge difference. Something that can be easily done in China using coercion is not possible in India. But still India is progressing rapidly under PM Modi's leadership. China is way ahead of India at the moment but it is a slow and steady race which eventually India will win.
