Protesting in other country rather than going back and fighting for own country is the Hypocrisy of cowards.

He's right. You have no right to disrupt order in public places in USA. You already know you don't care about Gaza you are just doing this for attention seeking. If you really care, supporting over there helps everyone.

A baby girl, born an orphan, was delivered prematurely via emergency cesarean section from the womb of her deceased mother, Sabreen al-Sakani. Sabreen, along with her husband and daughter, was killed in an Israeli attack on Rafah, southern Gaza, shortly before midnight Saturday.

The strike claimed the lives of 24 people, including 16 children, according to Palestinian health officials. Named Rouh, meaning soul in Arabic, the baby weighs 1.4kg and is stable, gradually improving, according to doctors. She has been placed in an incubator at the Al-Helal Al-Emirati Maternity Hospital in Rafah.

The discussion in this war is absurd. First. Israel acted selflessly to live in peace with the Palestinians in Gaza. It was more than a decade ago when Israel itself ordered Israeli citizens who had lived there for decades to literally leave their homes. The first thing the Palestinians did in return was to elect a government that enshrined the goal of destroying Israel in the constitution.

The elected government followed through with its promise. Since its founding, thousands of rockets have flown into Israeli settlement areas. Dozens of civilians died in terrorist attacks. Millions of aid funds - intended for civilian institutions - were misused to sponsor this terrorism. October 7th was just what Humus had been doing for years.

Secondly. Israel behaved more humanely in this conflict than any other conceivable party in any imaginable conflict. It allowed Palestinians to work in Israel, receive medical care or even migrate to Israel. During war, they warn civilians where their military is operating. They admit collateral damage and apologize for it.

Both sides are seeking genocide against the other The fact that we are getting involved at all just annoys me Neither side is the good side Hamas exists because Palestinians thought that the PLO became to soft seeking a two state solution The Israeli's oppress the Palestinians as second class citizens because they fear them
It is a cycle of hate that will not be easily broken

No, most Americans simply disagree with these protesters. In a March poll of US voters, 79% said they favored Israel over Hamas in the war. And although the U.S. had already been giving Israel billions of dollars of military aid, 56% said they were in favor of a bill to give far more. These students may be loud, but they're advocating a minority position in the U.S.

Arrests in these protests are mostly theater. When protesters are trespassing, the police give lots of warning so that the people who don't want to be arrested have plenty of time to leave. So, the ones who are arrested are the ones who want to be arrested, probably just to be seen on video being "oppressed." The actual penalty is a very small fine, if even that.

how can students and faculty be trespassers. Many arrested said they lived on campus, paid dorm rent. So they can’t be trespassers.

Being a student or faculty member doesn't entitle you to do whatever you want wherever you want on university grounds. The university administration gets to make rules about that, and can bring in local police for enforcement if needed. This is what happened at NYU when protesters occupied a plaza and the university administration decided not to allow it.

They brought in the NYPD, who made repeated announcements that people would be arrested for trespassing if they didn't leave, gave them lots of time to go, and then arrested those who insisted on staying and being arrested.

so, "trespassing" is just an excuse to silence any protests. Funny how it works in "democracies". Germany has also banned any pro-Palestinian protests. They must have been "trespassing" as well?

Martinfiedler
Pro-Palestinian protests are not banned in the U.S. Constitutional protection for free speech is far too strong to allow that. Trespassing laws are just used to limit where protests can happen, not to prevent them from happening at all. Protesters deliberately choose locations that will be disruptive or provocative, so there have to be limits at some point on where they can be held.

For example, there were recently protests in the U.S. that deliberately blocked freeways and bridges, creating traffic jams that were hours long. These were obviously illegal as well, so the protesters were arrested (as they had wanted), and will face trivially light penalties.
