北京清华大学的医学研究人员创建了一个 AI(人工智能)医院小镇｡ 理论上,它每天可以为 3000 名病人提供服务,而医生和工作人员却屈指可数｡该项目的医生声称,他们在MedQA数据集上对呼吸系统疾病的诊断准确率超过93%,这就是他们对人工智能持乐观态度的一个例子｡ 慢性阻塞性肺病和哮喘等呼吸系统疾病的诊断和治疗准确率很低,假阳性和假阴性诊断率都很高｡
中国,而不是美国,刚刚建成了世界上第一所人工智能医院!

Why the first AI hospital in China?Because the private for profit healthcare industry in US won't have it. A doctor that treats 3000 patients would bring down the medical charges to cost of a cup of coffee and cannot sustain the remuneration of the CEO and Board of Directors.

If a society asks for cost effective ways to do useful things which would provide actual value it will get all kind of interesting answers. If in a society only profit matters and such questions are shut down because they would interfere with the much more profitable exchange of nothing for something, arguably the apex of profitability which serves the entrenched establishment better than anything else could, then society will reach a dead end and eventually decline. IRL it's not either or of course but even a difference in degrees is consequential.
