I recall even when the brics didn't exist. I couldnt' recall what the heck was the use of the g7/g8. They were a self-important bunch of pricks, meeting up every year for the sake of it. They rarely ever discussed anything important. Just discussing terrorism, security and w/e non-sense. The brics by comparision, are discussing dedollarisation, using each other's currencies, poverty alleviation, economic ties and actually useful things.
