It'll not compromise on sovereignty precisely bcs it's a hindu party. For a practicing hindu, this land is a sacred land, it's not just a piece of land,it is land sowed in our ancestors blood, thier stories, their art... Being hindu automaatically makes one a nationalist.

This country has progressed only because of dharmic religions majority of which is hinduism. See any islamic country without oil.Iran was a happy progressive country before islam ruined it and same goes with malaysia and others.

Mr ajit doval sir.Back story: He proposed this idea at the i2u2 conference 2023 and convinced the world think tanks to see an opportunity to rival with china's belt and road initiative ,which was later proposed to the eyes in g20 meet in delhi 23 .

One serious question,If almost half route of the india middle-east economic corridor(imec)  is travel by the railways then no doubt it almost going to be 40% faster than swiss canal route but how this will be 30% cheaper because transportation cost of railways is higher than waterways and even loading and unloading will take additional charges.

The india middle east europe corridor faces the same issue, albeit with the strait of hormuz controlled by iran instead of the red sea. Unless the west and iran reach an amicable agreement, this corridor will remain a pipe dream. The international north–south transport corridor has a significantly higher probability of success compared to the india middle east europe corridor.

I really love the initiatives and the project plans set forth by india to protect our economic and world standing- be it the imec, solar corridor, cable routes etc... However, my only concern is that whether these project will be implemented as planned or not....

A lot of things we see are proposed including imec, but what about implementation? How much work has been done and how much time it will take? Concepts are great as long as it is being implemented. The reason china is ahead of the rest of the world is that they dont dream about concepts, they have guts and ability to implement it on the ground level as fast as possible, which sadly a country like india can't even dream of.

How will it be 40% faster? Container has to be unloaded at dubai, then loaded to train, than to ship again in israel, then it will reach to greece or europe? Wont these loading-unloading, waiting at q at different parts of ports to rail segment will take even more times? I felt these should have be explained in better way, is there any waiting period over suez canal before getting a turn to pass through it, if yes how much? From where does this figure of 40% faster came?

Any literate will understand how much india has progressed in the last 10 years. Of course it has regressed too in some aspects. But sad reality is illiteracy is much higher than literacy in our and politicians are playing politics not on development but on religion.

Transporting good via land in middle east has its own pitfalls like security of the good, and reliability on govt. It could be a good backup route, but i have own apprehensions about it being the primary path.

Is there any new update on this? As far as i know, all of it was proposed before oct 7. While the arab states still trade with israel, their relationships have definitely strained, it’s not similar to the time when abraham accords were signed.

You forgot to consider the fact that due to the israel-hamas war, saudi and israel can't cooperate for god knows how much time. This puts the complete plan  on hold for a very long time.

Didnt cover the negatives of this...Well using saudi and israel for this project does possesses a challenge in terms disagreement with each other would mean they will use this corridor as geo-politics tool which can affect the trade in india.
