And when the islands were finished china then denies they were building military facilities and instead they are only building research facilities and safe harbor for international shis and fishing boats during emergencies like storms. So will this be a repeat of that time.

Asean never said they support philippines but everytime they talk about south china sea they always mention follow the international laws and freedom of navigation which obviously if not mentioned is directly pointing to china. Asean even desires to finalized the south china sea code of conduct that china is not in favor of.

It's west philippine sea for filipinos by philippine mandate but it is still south china sea by international standards and maritime mapping. Unless philippines is able to internationally rename the area to west philippine sea were even official international maps are change.
