If you think that Ukraine can somehow hold onto Kursk when it could not hold onto territories that it had prepared and reinforced over the span of a decade, then you are simply naive.....Ukraine will be expelled from a position that it hasn't had time to reinforce; and Russia will then formally declare war and mobilise for a second time

The peoples that live now in Ukraine make no exception, they are a more ancient civilisation than those living around Moscow. Even looking at the capitals histories, Kyiv is 600 years more ancient than Moscow. Today's Russians are successful conquerors of more advanced civilisations surrounding them. Russians are a mix of great ancient peoples, ruled by the newest and least great of them all.

Few days ago there was a video of a Russian man in Kursk recording himself claiming that He spoke with a Ukranian soldier. He asked him "what happens now?", the soldier responded "learn the hymn and prepare for referendum". The Russian man commented that if Ukranians offer better protection than Putin then so be it.
